Listen to Dubai 92 and feel great.

Grown-up money, teenage energy. The station for the 30-plus crowd in Dubai who never quite got round to growing up — and have no plans to start.

Play Dubai 92

01The brand idea

We are the sound of a city that works hard, plays harder and refuses to act its age.

Dubai 92 is premium without being polished into silence, warm without being soft, and edgy without trying too hard. It is the friend who books the flight, gets the table, knows the promoter — and still queues for the waterslide.

Everything we make should feel bright, quick and confident. Green ground, black type, one coral action. If it feels corporate, it is wrong. If it feels juvenile, it is also wrong.

02Who we are talking to

Adults. Allegedly.

Who
30–49, expat and local, established careers, disposable income, group chats full of plans.
What they want
Music they own emotionally, jokes that land, and the inside track on what's on this weekend.
Where they hear us
Sheikh Zayed Road commute, the gym, the beach, the school run, the desk speaker.
Tone words
Bright · Warm · Edgy · Mischievous · Effortless.

03Brand pillars

01

Music

Superstars from the '90s to now. The songs that were the soundtrack the first time round, and the ones that are the soundtrack now.

02

Comedy & Live

Concerts, festivals, stand-up and the big nights out. We show up, we host, we partner with the events that matter.

03

Family Fun

Weekends, brunches, waterparks, dune days. Grown-up plans with the kids in tow — and nobody pretending to be sensible.

04

Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Dubai is home. Abu Dhabi is family. The cities are in the brand — the light, the skyline, the sand, the pace.

04The logo

The mark never changes. Only the ground beneath it does.

Dubai 92 black logo on white

Construction

  • Clear space on all four sides equals the cap height of the “9”.
  • Minimum size: 25mm wide in print, 80px wide on screen.
  • White on green, teal and black. Black on white and mint.
  • Top-left in a nav bar, or optically centred in full-bleed artwork.

Never

  • Recolour the mark to green, teal or coral.
  • Stretch, skew, rotate or outline it.
  • Add glows, bevels or drop shadows.
  • Place white over the lightest end of the green gradient.
  • Re-typeset “DUBAI” or the ARN endorsement.
  • Lock it inside a coloured box or badge.

05Colour, screen and press

Green, black, white — and one coral for the button.

Print notes

CMYK values are coated-stock builds. Signal Green is far brighter on screen than in process print — specify Pantone 354 C as a spot colour for wraps, posters and large-format work, and only fall back to the 80/0/78/0 build when a spot plate is not available. Ink Black prints as a rich black; never 100% K alone on large areas.

Contrast rules

Set type in Ink Black on green, mint and white — black on Signal Green clears AA comfortably. White type is only for teal, black and the darker half of the gradient. Coral is never used for type: it is a button, a badge and nothing else.

06Gradient & pattern

Green into teal. Left to right. Every time.

100° · Signal Green 0% → Deep Teal 100%

Do

Bright green on the left, teal settling to the right. Logo and headline on the green half.

Do

One gradient per composition, then let white cards carry the content.

Don't

No radial blends, no third colour, no long paragraphs set over the gradient.

The waveform device: bars anchored to one edge, aligned to the grid, always leading the eye toward the logo or the play button.

07Typography

Display · Poppins ExtraBold Italic

Feel great

One face, one voice. Geometric, heavy, italic and set in sentence case — never all caps, never letterspaced open. The forward lean is the brand's energy.

Body · Poppins Regular

The same family upright does the calm half of the job, with generous leading and plenty of white around it.

Regular for paragraphs at 1.65 line height, SemiBold for standfirsts, Bold Italic inside black pills for labels, badges and station names.

92

The numerals are brand furniture. Set “92” in display italic, optically aligned, and use it alone as a stamp on merchandise, socials and event signage — never re-drawn from the logo artwork.

08Tone of voice

Dry, quick, never smug.

Sounds like us
  • “Back in the office. Physically.”
  • “Dubai 92 — the grown-ups' station. Loosely speaking.”
  • “Big songs, bad decisions, brilliant weekend.”
Never us
  • “Your number one hit music station!”
  • “Vibes only ✨”
  • Anything a brand manager would say out loud in a meeting.

10Designer cheat sheet

Everything above, on one page, for the person doing the artwork.

Green first, always

  • Every layout opens on Signal Green or the green-to-teal gradient.
  • White is the page, green is the brand, black is the type. Nothing else competes.

Logo, every time

  • Always the supplied file. White on green, teal or black. Black on white or mint.
  • Clear space = the height of the '9' on all four sides.
  • Top-left in nav bars, optically centred in full-bleed artwork.

The 60/30/10 ratio

  • 60% white or green ground, 30% supporting teal or mint, 10% coral.
  • Coral is for the thing you want pressed. One per screen.

Type recipe

  • Poppins ExtraBold Italic for the shout, sentence case, tracking tight.
  • Poppins Regular beneath at 1.65 line height. Two sizes maximum per block.

Gradient rules

  • Green to teal, left to right at roughly 100°. Never add a third colour.
  • One gradient per composition. Keep long copy off it.

Pills & rounded corners

  • Labels live in black pills. Cards use 16–24px radius, buttons are fully round.
  • Never square a card off or outline a pill.

Print pack

  • Use the CMYK builds above; green as Pantone 354 C spot for wraps and large format.
  • 3mm bleed, 300dpi, minimum logo width 25mm print / 80px digital.

Two-second check

  • Is it green before it is anything else? Is the logo legible? One coral action?
  • Does it read from a moving car? Would a 35-year-old think it's cool?

Files & export

  • RGB for screen, CMYK for press. Supply a white and a black logo with everything.
  • Name assets d92_[application]_[size]_[colourway].
